As of May 2019 Maryland has More than 68,000 people registered for the state’s medical marijuana program. There are more than 1,440 providers who can recommend cannabis. Cannabis is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and therefore can’t be prescribed. Providers will not give you a prescription for cannabis, they will instead provide a “recommendation” to satisfy the state requirements. The state has 77 licensed dispensaries with various growers and processors. The Maryland cannabis program makes leaps and bounds every day thanks to a community that believes in and knows, whats right.
