Becoming a Patient

Process for obtaining
medical cannabis in Maryland
Upon receiving this number, you must schedule an in-person visit with a registered physician or nurse practitioner with whom you have a bona fide provider-patient relationship. For this relationship to exist, the provider must review the patient’s relevant medical records, complete an in-person assessment of the patient’s medical history and current medical condition, create and maintain medically standardized records, and expect to monitor the patient, according to the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission website. The provider will issue a written certification if you meet the criteria for treatment with medical cannabis. The registered provider must record the written certification on the MCA website under your unique registration number. You can only have one written certification from one provider.
Once you receive your certification you can then obtain medical cannabis at any licensed dispensary in Maryland by presenting your ID card or a valid government-issued ID. Your written certification and identification will be confirmed by the dispensary each time you visit. At Nature’s Care and Wellness, we have a dedicated team of professionals who are looking forward to working with all patients and physicians to improve quality of life. We offer a modern, safe, and secure environment to support your needs.
