2020 Election – The Impact on the Cannabis Industry

by | Jul 31, 2020

By Bill Vernall

On November the 3rd 2020, decisions will be made for the Party of your choice. It’s a Presidential election year, determining who will lead our country for the next 4 years. Other offices are also up for reelection and are as important.

Personally, I’m thinking of candidates who will help our movement along, possibly rescheduling Cannabis from its current Schedule 1 statis. Also, someone who will be willing to confront the insurance companies who do not cover medical cannabis use for patient’s medicine. My major goal is to find a candidate who share my belief that a qualified patient no longer can have their employment terminated because he uses his medicine.

As MMCC patients these are question you need to speak with your elected officials about, ask the difficult questions of them, where do they stand on these important issues. It is our job as patients to bring these topics up for discussion and we expect answers. If not asked, nothing will happen. I urge each and every one of you to get involved and support the candidates who support our movement.

With less than 90 days before the election, we have a lot of work to do. You can’t complain if you’re not involved……….just saying,

Do Your Part, get out & Vote.
